International Day for Monuments and Sites Marked

Organized by the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy and the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka, in cooperation with the National Committee of ICOMOS in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Across Alliance, and under the patronage of the CultHeRit Interreg Danube Region project, the International Day for Monuments and Sites was marked.

On 16 April 2026, a tour of the architectural heritage, with a focus on national monuments in the urban core of Banja Luka, was organized for the interested public and students of the University.The aim of the activity was to raise awareness among young people of the importance of cultural heritage and the architectural landscape, as well as to provide information on the role of different professions in the process of identifying, protecting, and promoting heritage.

The tour was guided by Assistant Prof. Jasna Jurisic Roljic, PhD, and Associate Prof. Miroslav Malinovic, PhD.

 

Obilježen Međunarodni dan spomenika i spomeničkih cjelina

U organizaciji Arhitektonsko-građevinsko-geodetskog i Filološkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Banjoj Luci i suorganizaciji Nacionalnog komiteta ICOMOS u BiH i Across alijanse, a pod pokroviteljstvom CultHeRit Interreg Danube Region projekta obilježen je Međunarodni dan spomenika i spomeničkih cjelina (18. april).
