The sixth architectural walk of Sarajevo’s modern architecture (1918–1940) on Route F.

The ICOMOS National Committee in Bosnia and Herzegovina organizes the sixth architectural walk through Sarajevo Modernism (1918–1940) on Route F: 'Along the Northern Slopes of the City', which will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, starting from in front of Mula Mustafa Bašeskija Elementary School (52 Logavina Street).

The walk will be led by Elša Turkušić Jurić and Aida Murtić.

Route F, 'Along the Northern Slopes of the City,' continues the series of narrative walks through the Modernist period in Sarajevo, providing insight into the development of residential architecture between 1918 and 1940, as well as the approach to existing built environments and natural topography. For this occasion, an architectural map has been created covering the neighborhoods of Višnjik, Bjelave, Mejtaš, Podhrastove, Kovače, and Mihrivode, while the walk will take place along a section of the designated route through Logavina, Sagrdžije, and Safvet-beg Bašagić streets. Route F offers an experience of moving through the city’s hillside areas, which, under the pressure of exploiting their locational advantages, are rapidly changing today.

Participants of the walk will also receive an architectural map of the route for use.
