ICOMOS (the International Council on Monuments and Sites) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of cultural heritage worldwide. ICOMOS is the only global non-governmental organization that systematically focuses on the application of scientific techniques, theories, and methodologies in the protection of both tangible and intangible elements of cultural heritage.

ICOMOS operates as an international network of experts and professionals who work together to safeguard heritage.
