The appeal reminded that all planned spatial interventions must be in line with the protection measures for this cultural-historical asset. Concern was expressed that the ongoing works could lead to the degradation of the national monument, and the necessity to halt these works was emphasized, along with the need to review and find a more appropriate design solution for the construction of the children\u2019s playground.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, the National Committee of ICOMOS in Bosnia and Herzegovina also participated in a panel discussion addressing the current challenges of actively preserving modern architectural heritage, using the national monument \u201cD\u017eid\u017eikovac Residential Colony\u201d as a case study. The panel discussion was organized in cooperation with the Association of Architects of BiH (AABiH) and Docomomo BiH, and took place on January 27, 2025, at the Urban Design Studio in Sarajevo.
